What is MyCAA?

The Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) employment assistance program for military spouses of active duty service members.

DOD is designed to assist military spouses in finding employment in high-demand career fields.

Training: Eligible military spouses are now able to receive up to $6,000 in MyCAA Financial Assistance (FA) that can help them pursue education, training, professional licenses, certificates and degrees leading to employment in different Career fields. Please see the MyCAA Fact Sheet which provides basic information about the MyCAA program and military spouse eligibility. This Fact Sheet also provides points of contact for who can help spouses, schools and participating organizations.

What next?  How do I receive more information and get started in the MyCAA Program?

1.     Call Spencer Training and Testing Development, Inc. and discuss with a campus counselor the appropriate curriculum for your new career. We offer courses in Real Estate, Loan Officers, Appraisal, Home Inspection, Insurance, IT, Petro Chemical and much more…

2.     Register with MyCAA to receive approval. Follow this link to Register.

3.     Upon approval, call your campus counselor at Spencer Training & Testing Development, Inc.  to get registered in the courses.

4.     Get started training for your new career!

What are the terms and conditions for MyCAA spouses?

Each eligible spouse must electronically sign a Statement of Understanding (SOU) confirming the following statements:

• I have read the MyCAA Fact Sheet and agree that I am eligible to participate in MyCAA.
• I confirm that my goal is to pursue employment in a specific career field.
• I understand that if  I do not pass  a course or I do not complete a course, my MyCAA Account will be closed until I complete counseling with a Military OneSource Career and Education Consultant and get the support I need to successfully pursue my goals .
• I understand that if  I fail to enter the correct school and course information into the MyCAA account system, I could be held responsible for paying for courses included in my curriculum plan.
• I authorize MyCAA to release information necessary to work  with Spencer Training and Testing Development, Inc. so that I may receive the  MyCAA Financial Assistance.
• I authorize the release of my school records, to include grade/transcripts and financial reports concerning my enrollments for the school(s) I have included in my curriculum plan to the Department of Defense.
